Our approach is straightforward: identify compelling opportunities in proven mining districts, build the geological case through disciplined exploration, and systematically advance the highest-priority targets toward discovery.
Today, Cameo’s primary focus is the Katoro Gold Project in Tanzania’s Lake Victoria Goldfields.
Geology matters. So does geography.
We focus on opportunities within established mineral districts where significant discoveries, operating mines and known geological systems provide important context for exploration.
No single dataset tells the whole story.
We look for opportunities supported by multiple lines of geological evidence, using modern exploration techniques to progressively refine our understanding of a property and identify the most compelling targets.
Exploration capital matters.
Our objective is to systematically narrow the opportunity before committing to drilling, using available geological, geophysical and surface data to identify and prioritize the targets we believe warrant testing.
Ultimately, exploration comes down to the drill bit.
Once the evidence has defined the highest-priority targets, drilling provides the opportunity to test the geological thesis and determine what lies beneath the surface.
Cameo is currently applying this approach at the Katoro Gold Project in Tanzania’s prolific Lake Victoria Goldfields.
Airborne magnetics, IP geophysics, surface sampling and structural interpretation have helped identify more than 80 exploration targets across the property, with inaugural drill targets now selected.
Cameo is led by a team with experience spanning mineral exploration, capital markets, corporate development and public-company leadership.
